Vacation 2010

A couple of weeks ago we went to Bruster's and Kelton go his very own ice cream cone. He loved it and therefore got it all over the place but it was worth it.

This is day one in orlando. We went to Cocoa Beach to see the off shore racing boats. He does not look impressed but it was pretty hot out. Notice that he is holding the straps because he can not very easily unsnap them and then snap them back.
This is one of the boats. We did not get to see them run though.

We went into a bait store to get something to drink, a hat for Daddy, and to use the restroom.
This is on the Cocoa Beach Pier.  Check out the neat colors in the clouds. I had never seen it do this before in just one little spot. Kelton loved looking out at the people from the slats.
He got to go out with Daddy to the water. He loved it. I was cute to see him try to keep his balance when the water came in and out. He did not like being under the pier though and would have rather been in the heat.
He was waving to Grandma and Grandpa standing on the pier
Went to Old Town that night. We saw 2 people being dropped and Kelton thought he would wave at them.
He got a balloon puppy which he quickly turned into a sword.

Wet and Wild

Playing with Daddy and Unck in the parking lot with an empty plastic bottle.
He has always played with the water bottle but lately he has been facinated with soaking himself with it.
Reading with Daddy before bedtime.

Fun in the sun.  He got to play in the pool but Daddy made it better by getting out the sprinklers.

The diaper had way to much water in it so we went without. He needed a little sun on his backside to even out that farmers tan.
Jumping!  He has decided that jumping it fun or at least trying to jump is fun.

What's new?

Not much. But here are few new pics.

Little Man is now 18 months old!

Here he is with his Papa Mike looking at the rainbow that we saw on the way to eat.
Him and Candace had a great time over this past weekend. He loved beating up on her and getting beat up back.
He loves to play with balloons, we have one around blown up all the time.
He was laughing at Ricky asking him if he was going to get a bath with him. He loves getting a shower with his daddy. He rarely gets a bath anymore.

Put him in the tub or take him outside!

That is all he wants to do.  He spends alot of time standing at the back door hanging by the handle saying "golf cart" over and over again.  Bless his soul even when he was throwing up on Friday he still wanted to be on the golf cart.  The bath is a pretty good bet that he will be happy as well.

So Friday he got the starting of the stomach virus going around on top of the runny nose. Saturday he started having diarreha but did not throw up any more. Sunday afternoon he had a relapse of the throwing up but was better. He slept all night in his crib Sunday night and was pretty okay other than the runny nose and diarreha still. Last night he slept awful. He tossed and turned and woke up crying, I think his stomach has hurting because after he got moving around he had an explosion in his diaper.  So we are watching the nose and the poop and hoping and praying that they get better on their own.

This is how he wanted to sit. I tried to move the seat up but he got mad at me.

Here's to feeling better, Little Man!

Getting Sick

Little Man is getting sick. Mostly it seems that he is teething really bad. Excessive chewing, drooling, fever, runny noes and being cranky seem to fit the bill for teething, at least I hope that's all it is. Yesterday afternoon he started going down hill. On a lighter note, him and Grandma had a fun filled day. He got his haircut, he got to put on a show for Grandma's coworkers, went to lunch with Grandpa, went to Walmart, and got to see Momma at work.  He did feel a little better after dinner when he played with Branda. He can really throw a ball good.

His new love of wallering (sp?) all over a pillow.

What a sexy man in your lumber jack shirt and saggy diaper. He looked like he had daisy duke shorts on.

Then he snuggled with Grandma because he did not feel good and it was getting past bedtime.
Soooo SAD.

This was Tuesday. He likes to use his feet for lots of things lately. Drive, push buttons, you know the normal things that people do with their feet.

Sleeping again.

So I realized that Little Man only goes to sleep when I walk earlier in the afternoon. Which happens to be when it is hotter. He was out that day. I wheeled him in the house so that I could get ready to leave to go to Papa Mike and MeMe's and he even sayed asleep when I put him in the car.

Yes, we still have a paci. I do not have the heart to get rid of it. He is usually such a good kid and when he does get fussy the paci does the trick.  I fear for the confused and upset child I will have when we take away his security blanket a.k.a. his paci.  My goal is for him to have it only at nap time and a bedtime. That would be just fine with me and then when he gets older we can get rid of it completely.

On a side note he has been taking cues and giving cues about going to the potty. He has been grabbing at himself when he pees now. I asked him the weekend if he needed to use the potty when he did this and he lifted the lid to the toilet. So we bought a potty yesterday. I think it will be a long process but he acts like he knows what I am talking about so I will give it a try.
